Chapter 3: Fights and Kisses

In the last chapter we left off with Emma Autumn being the first sim to die in my game and due to some strange reason, Brett aged up into an elder instead of an adult.

Ronnie was over at her friends house when she was called back home. Her family had organised a surprise birthday party for her and Taylor.

A lot of guests were invited though only a few managed to fit outside on the deck to celebrate the twins’ birthday.

Somehow Ronnie’s birthday cake caught fire and the whole table quickly ignited threatining to engulf the whole deck but luckily Alannah and one of her friends Deanne were around to save the day.  I love the Brave trait!

When the panic of the fire had died down, the twins were able to grow up. This is Taylor and she has now got the following traits: Bookworm, Artistic, Loner, Workaholic

And here’s Ronnie who looks nothing like her twin sister at all. Ronnie has the following four traits: loves the outdoors, excitable, friendly and green thumb.  

Cycl0n3 had just finished cleaning up after the twins’ birthday party when Emma appeared.

“Emma! You’re back!” he cried, tears of joy sprining in his eyes.

“No Cy, I’m not back.” Emma told him gently, “I’m dead but I just wanted to see how you were all doing.”

“Emma I’ve missed you so much!!” Cycl0n3 cried.

“I’ve missed you too Cy but it won’t be long now before you join me. Goodbye.”

Cycl0n3 sadly waved goodbye. He was now a 103 year old man and he still missed his wife even though it had been 3 years since her death.

Brett invited a couple of people for a campaign fundraiser party and when Jace and Alannah got back home from school they joined in the fun. Taylor was over at her friend’s house whilst Ronnie was doing a work-for-a-day initiative at the Doo Peas Corporate Towers which was why only the older siblings could participate. Alannah was going around talking to guests when she saw Gerry Numbers. She immediately fell for him, being the hopeless romantic that she is but she knew that Gerry was much older than her and probably he had a fiancee or something like that. Yet, she was delighted when she spent some time dancing with him.

Jace surprised everyone when he was the first one in the family to score with someone. Meet Audrey Nesbitt who is really gorgeous and completely smitten with Jace the future astronaut. 🙂 I love them 🙂

Alannah finally managed to track down where her father lived but she was very surprised when she knocked on his door and an old lady opened it.

“Yes dear? What do you want?” the old lady smiled.

“I’m looking for Homer. Does he live here?” Alannah asked shyly.

“Yes he does dear! But he’s not at home right now. Come inside, it shouldn’t be long before he comese back home.” the lady said as she led her inside, “So where do you know my son…”

“Alannah. Alannah’s my name.”

“And I’m Sunny. Where do you know my son Alannah?” the old lady asked.

“Well…um…do you know who Kate Autumn is?” Alannah stammared becuase since Homer was her father then she must right now be speaking to her grandmother.

“Yes, she used to date my son I think. Why? You know her?”

“She’s my mother.” Alannah said softly.

“Your mother?” Sunny frowned, “Why do you want to see my son?”

“Because he’s my father.” Alannah said dropping her gaze to the floor.

“Of course…that blonde hair with that slight orange tinge. I should have recognized you immediately! My husband had his hair like that and Homer’s hair is exactly like Abraham’s was.” tears sprang in Sunny’s eyes, “Abraham died a few months ago. I guess you were never meant to meet your grandfather.”

“But you were meant to meet your grandmother.” and Sunny surprised Alannah by giving her a hug.

“Know that whatever my son’s attitude towards you will be, I still love you no matter what my dear.”

Alannah smiled, “Thanks Sun”

“Now, what say you that we get acquainted with each other till Homer arrives?” and with that Sunny led Alannah over to the sofa where Sunny wanted to know everything about Alannah.

They talked for so long that Alannah fell asleep on the couch. Sunny smiled to herself and let the little girl be.

Alannah came to when she heard voices in the background, “Woha gran! Who’s that girl on the couch?” she heard a young man say.

“That dear…” she heard Sunny’s voice, “is your sister.”

Two things happened at once, Alannah sat bolt upright from the couch and the young man’s copybook fell to the floor.

“What!?” the word was spoken in perfect unision from both teens and then an awkward silence descended on them.

But the silence didn’t last long, it was soon pierced by the shrieking sound of a police car siren.

“Crap!” Alannah cursed, “I’m out after curfew!”

How the police had come to know that she was at the Bakshi’s, Alannah didn’t know, what she did know was that when she was being escorted outside she was thrown in the path of a blonde haired man.

“Sorry!” she exclaimed whilst trying to raise her hands in a gesture that meant there was nothing she could do about it. For a brief second she met the man’s eyes and it was then that she knew she had just seen her father for the first time. Her eyes glassed over as tears threatened to fall but she sniffed, held her head up high and marched into the police car.

Early the next morning, Cycl0n3 was enjoying some time with his wife’s ghost.

“I thought you said it wouldn’t be long till I joined you? I’m a 107 years old!” he accused Emma.

“Ah, for us ghosts, time passes much quicker than for you. I’m sorry if I got you upset because of what I said, Cy.”

“Upset? No! I’m upset because it is taking too long to really be with you.”

“But don’t you love it here with Kate and the grandchildren?” Emma asked.

“I do love it, but I love you more. I miss you too much. Besides, I think I’ve lived my time here.”

“That’s not for you to decide.” and then she dissolved into green mist and darted away. Cy looked outside his bedroom windows, the sun was up and it was yet another new day.

Taylor Autumn wants to become a Professional Author when she grows up and she’s very serious about this dream. Taylor has already written two books; “Future Spy”, her first novel which was sci-fi and “The Rose Petal”, her first drama and one that was very much loved. Currently Taylor is working on another project, “The Blue Flower” which is the sequel to “The Rose Petal”.

Ronnie has finally decided on her life time dream. She wants to become a Creature-Robot Crossbreader. This chapter is also going to be short because there are only a few days till Alannah’s birthday and I want to put up an heir poll before either of the kids grow up.

Alannah spends a lot of her time painting. Ever since she had seen her father that night, she had become confused. What would be better? To get to know him? Or to just forget about that side of her life and continue on with how she was going on? She had a half-brother whom she had never known about! And she had another grandma…one that was still alive for the time being. What should she do?

It was the most impulsive thing she had ever done. One second she was paintbrush in hand and deep in thoughts, the next she had called a cab and found herself infront of the Bakshi’s little house.

Her heart drummed in her throat as she waited for someone to answer the door. Would it be her father? Her brother? Her grandmother? She hoped it would be the latter.

It was her father who answered the door.

“I thought you’d come again, after last week.” he said and he invited her inside the house.

Inside her half-brother, Jess Bakshi, was sitting on the couch reading a book. Whether he had noticed her prescence or not, Alannah never knew because he never raised his eyes an inch above the book he was holding.

“So…” she said once they were inside.

“So.” Homer echoed her.

“Umm…I thought I would just come over here to see who my dad was.” Alannah stammered.

“Yeah, you just thought you could barge into my life! Allenah! The whole time I have stayed away from you is because that’s what I really want to do. I don’t want you in my life. You’re not part of the picture.”

Alannah was surprised by the harshness of his voice, “Oh I’m sorry… DAD!” she spat the last word out, “I never knew I could ruin your picture! Tell me, why do you let him (and here she pointed at Jess) stay with you but you never wanted to see me?? And what’s more, it’s Alannah not Allenah!”

“Just like your mother you are!” Homer raged, “I let Jess stay because he’s my son!”

“And I’m your daughter!” Alannah said tears streaming down her face.

“I doesn’t matter, I don’t…” Homer was taunting her but then suddenly Alannah was pushed away.

“That’s it!” Kate Autumn cried, “You are officialy my nemesis! How dare you do that to your own daughter!?”

“Watch how you speak to me woman!” Homer raged.

Kate glared at him, “I knew that after telling her about you, she would try to come and find you, so I waited and said nothing. I thought, maybe he’s only mad at me after all and once he gets to know Allie he will love her. Oh, how wrong I was! You didn’t even give her the chance to get to know you! And you certainly know nothing about her!” she shouted.

“Come on Allie, we are going back home.”

Alannah was a complete wreck the following week but with the support of her mother and her brother, when she told him the truth, she managed to get back to her old self. After all, as Jace had told her; “Allie! It’s not like you had your father and he suddenly left! You never had him from the start! Instead you gained something, I’m sure your grandma wouldn’t mind a bit if you met up with her.” and Alannah had thanked the lucky stars that she had such a lovely half-brother.

After having given the advice to his sister, Jace called over Audrey and when it was nearly dusk and the stars were preparing to come out, he asked Audrey whether she would like to be his girlfriend and she said yes.

This is where I close this really short chapter because it is Alannah’s birthday tomorrow. I will upload the poll so that you can vote for whom you want to be heir/ess of this legacy.
