Chapter 5: Growing Up

I’m back 🙂 You can clearly see that I’m currently with my summer holidays because when I start school I barely have time to play the sims and so the updates get less frequent.

We start off straight after Audrey arrives home from the hospital.

I forgot to tell you what Zac’s favourites are: Electronica, Stu Surprise, White
I already told you his traits in the last chapter. So, the Autumn’s lives continue…

I thought I would start this chapter with updates on each sim’s dream. After all this is a following dreams legacy!

Jace is currently a Wingman, that’s level 6 in the Military Career and it means that he is four promotions away from reaching his dream.

Annabeth can’t really advance on her dream right now because it is career related and she is still a long way away from becomig an adult. She is however honing her fishing skills and has right now got 3 fishing skill points.

Kate is definately not goodlooking as an elder. She had already completed her lifetime wish when she was an adult but I took this photo because Kate has just reached the top of the medical career and is now a world renkown surgeon.

And that is the painting that comes from an artistic guy! (sarcastic)

Alex has improved his painting skill to lvl 4 and his writing skill to lvl 5. He is still quite far away from reaching his dream but he is slowly getting there.  I’m not going to include a picture of Audrey because her LTW to be super popular is a bit hard to keep track of. So, this closes the wishes round xp

Jace is so charming when he salutes. Isn’t he just the perfect aspiring astronaut!? I love him 🙂

Hallie has rolled her LTW and I’m pretty happy with it because it’s something I haven’t tried yet. Hallie wants to become an International Super Spy (reach lvl 10 of the Law Enforcement Career)

Ah! Now this is what a true family does at a party! 🙂 Finally there will be no more babies and I mean it this time since Audrey is becoming an elder tonight 😦

Zac’s birthday party was turning into another epic party thrown by the Autumn family when suddenly the cake caught fire. People started running, others rooted to the spot in fear, Hallie started screaming, Audrey rushed to get Zac out of harm’s way and then luckily there was brave Maryann Numbers and Eliza Lindquist. They saved the day.

So Zac is a toddler now with the traits Clumsy (which I believe is the reason why the cake caught fire) and easily impressed. He has got an in between skintone of his parents and Audrey’s hair colour. He has inherited Zac’s blue eyes like nearly all his siblings. This means that Annabeth is the only one of the kids to inherit another eye colour. Zac is cute right now 🙂

Audrey grew up into a very cute looking elder. I love Audrey lots and I gave her that sort of Egyptian style top because it is what her genetics remind me of even though I haven’t got World Adventures Expansion pack.

Alex got invited over to Rosalind Goncalves. She’s cute I think and she has got green eyes and black hair which is a plus since I’m looking for variety in spouses. I think with a new hairstyle, a bit of fitness training and new clothes, she could become a really cute girl but right now I’m just going to let Alex be friends with her because he could meet someone cuter after all and I want to keep him available.

Annabeth is ready to join the ranks of the teenagers and she celebrates her birthday in her swimsuit because that’s just how insane she is 🙂

Annabeth I love you! Right now I have a bit of a soft spot for Annabeth because she’s the only one who has Audrey’s eye colour and also I think the insane trait really, really suits her. Annabeth rolled friendly as her fourth trait. A friendly lunatic! I still have yet to see how the other little ones will turn out when they grow up however so I’m not going to declar anyone a favourite right now.

Ella’s birthday soon came around and the family was more than happy to see the little one grow up. Life would become much easier with only one kid to completely look after.

Since all the older kids were at school and Jace and Audrey were at work, Kate was the only one left to celebrate Ella’s birthday but she invited over her other kids and Ronnie was more than happy to cheer for the little girl.

Ella Autumn rolled vegetarian as her 3rd trait and I’m very happy with that. Finally some different traits!

Do you recognize that hair from somewhere?? Yup, it is Juanita, Alannah’s daughter and Ella’s cousin.

Another birthday! This time it’s Hallie that is to join the ranks of the teenagers.

I say, this time round the legacy has got quite some strong characters! First Annabeth with all her insaneness and now it’s Hallie who has taken to wearing black as her rule. Hallie rolled Dislikes Children as her 4th trait, now that would be interesting if she were to be heiress wouldn’t it??

“Hey Juanita!!” Hallie called out to her cousin.
“Hallie!” Juanita smiled as she hugged her.
The two were about the same age since Juanita had grown up a few days after Hallie and they got along well with each other. Juanita looks a lot like Alannah don’t you think?? The only difference is that she has green eyes.

“Hell wow!! Who is he??” Annabeth wondered out loud.
“He’s your cousin so back off.”
“My cousin?? Hey who are you?” Annabeth responded.
“I’m Jarret.” the guy said raising his eyebrows. So it was true, he did have an insane cousin who spoke to herself.
“Oh eerrr.” Annabeth seemed to have been interrupted from something but that was the end of the gibberish speak.

“What about this one?”
“That’s Carmelo Travis and he’s in my class.”
“Errr hi?” Carmelo responded.
“Damn! What are you? Why am I the only one who hears you?”
“Huh?” Carmelo looked a bit afraid of her now.
“Annabeth stop! You’re freaking the guy out! See your head is wired in strange ways and you can hear me. I’m what many call the creator but you will probably be more comfortable thinking that I am your concience or second voice.”
“Okay ummm…hi! I’m Annabeth! Sorry about that.”
“It’s okay.” Carmelo said warily but then he relaxed as the conversation flowed on normally.

What’s up with all the teenagers having black hair and green eyes?? Sure this lad over here is Juston Goncalves and he’s Rosalind’s younger brother so you’d expect him to have the same genetics but Carmelo has black hair and green eyes too and he’s a Travis! This time round I have a feeling that it’s going to be hard for me to find spouses for the kids.

And why have there been all these mingling photos?? Because it’s yet another Autumn party! Finally no more toddlers in the house!

I interrupt the festives to show you this picture. Now here’s a good looking young suitor! Finally! His name is Leslie Numbers. Wait Numbers??? I check in the relationship panel and I’ve found out that he’s the son of Gerry Numbers who was Louie’s brother who was Alannah’s husband. Sorry if I’ve lost you! Let me make this simpler, he is Juanita and Jarret’s cousin but he isn’t the cousin of the main legacy kids. 🙂 So he is definately available 🙂

Zac grows up into a Computer Whiz. I’m loving the fact that finally I’m getting different traits.

Alex stood in his parents’ room admiring his own artwork.
“You’re finally starting to paint nice things Alex.” he told himself proudly but he knew that he had still lots to learn and and still a long way to reach his dream.

(Alex has now got his painting skill to lvl 6 and his writing skill is at lvl 5)

Audrey has got three businesses under her hand, the supermarket, the diner and the bookshop. She’s making investments for her children and she will pass on the deeds to the heir/ess when he/she is chosen.

Hallie sat contentedly in her new room. She sighed happily, finally a bedroom in which she enjoyed herself. Sure she had to share it with Annabeth but the two of them got along well and Hallie didn’t mind that.

She gazed at the other side of the room which was a complete different abode. It was amazing how well their rooms fit together however. Annabeth had posters of famous athletes on her wall. Someone who didn’t know Annabeth would surely say that she wanted to become a hall of famer someday but Hallie knew that that wasn’t what her sister wanted. Annabeth was fascinated by science and the way things worked but she was more fascinated on producing new revolutionary ideas which was why she wanted one day to become a creature-robot cross breeder. It is amazing how each of the Autumn children are different from one another. “Take Alex”, Hallie thought, “He wants nothing more but to become an illustrious author. Totally and entirely different from what I want in life!” Hallie looked with pleasure at the cork board on her side of the room. “One day you will be full of the pictures of criminals that I have captured.” she said determined.

Of course Hallie and Annabeth’s bedrooms weren’t the only new rooms in the house. Ella also got her very own bedroom. She was going to share the bedroom with her older sisters too but there had been a conflict. Ella loves the outdoors very much and so she likes to see plants everywhere. Hallie on the other hand doesn’t want to see anything that reminds her of the nature that she very much hates. Thus the family had thought that it would be best if they split the girls’ room up.

The boys got to share a room also because harmony between green and white is easily achievable and I think the room looks much better than how it used to with purple and green.

Annabeth was the first one out of all the Autumn children to find love. Trust the friendly lunatic to be the best at flirting!  How strange it would feel if you were Juanita! Her cousin is dating her other cousin!

Ella has finally rolled her lifetime wish. She wants to be a Renaissance Sim (master 3 skills).

Jace has been promoted to squadron leader (lvl 8 military career) and so he is getting quite close to achieving his dream of becoming an astronaut.

A fire started in the house whilst Jace was repairing the TV. The whole family rushed to aid him but they were all to panicked to do something other than run around screaming. Luckily Alex kept his head and called the firefighters whilst Hallie being the brave one in the family rushed to try to save her dad’s life.

After having extinguished her father she realised that her little sister Ella had caught fire too. As she battled to save her sister’s life, the fire was threatening to take hers. Then the firefighter her brother had called thankfully arrived and together they managed to extinguish the fire.
“Thanks so much! We could have died if it weren’t for you!” Hallie said gratefully to the firefighter.
“And I’m almost certain that your father and sister would have died if you hadn’t been around to save them. You are a true brave woman Hallie. Now I’ve got to go, there are other emergencies around town.”

Ella trembled as she washed the soot off her. She was scared after having been just an inch from death.

Zac wouldn’t let go of his father after the fire had died down. He also found what he wanted to do in life. He wanted to become a Forensic Specialist: Dynamic DNA profiler.

When Ella’s birthday came, everyone was deeply grateful to Hallie that they were not celebrating Ella’s funeral instead.

Ella is…well she is Ella. I don’t quite like how she looks the 4th trait she got assigned was great kisser.

Kate died at the age of 100 years old. Although she wasn’t one of my favourite sims, she achieved a lot in her life. First she had four kids, then she reached her dream of becoming master of the arts and finally she reached the top of the medical career.  Needless to say, I am a bit thankful for having to control seven sims instead of eight now.

Jace and Audrey put Kate’s grave in the graveyard and they spent some time away from their kids crying their hearts out. They both wanted to be strong for their children.

Jace wasn’t happy with where he had left his parents. Yes it was a graveyard and in the morning it even looked like a pretty place but it just wasn’t a place that described his parents’ characters. So Jace decided to move the graves over to a new place.

A place built especially for all the Autumn descesed except Emma and Cycl0n3. A place that Jace knew he would one day lie in himself.

He placed both urns delicately on the coffee table and then stood there, unable to leave just yet, crying softly by himself. But he wasn’t by himself for long, it soon became really clear that Kate wasn’t only missed by her family. Friends from around the town came and mourned for her. Mourned for their lost friend who had saved many lives doing her job. Some came out of respect because they knew another family memeber, some came solely because they missed Kate and others came because this woman had saved their son’s life once when he was between life and death.

Still sad because of his mother’s death, Jace finally had something to help him face life again. He was promoted to Top Gun. If he threw in enough determination, he could finally reach his dream of becoming an astronaut.

Zac and Alex’s birthday coincided on the same day. A lot of people were invited to the party and everyone had a blast.

Zac grew up fine. Very fine. He rolled never-nude as his 4th trait just like his dad.

I realise that I forgot to give Zac his glasses and he will get them back even though he looks good like this. I just think that the glasses are part of his character.
