Chapter 7.0

Jake – the first Dawson male heir welcomes you back to the Dawson legacy! Let’s see what he rolled!

We’re back to the single life but at least with three kids so should be a quieter generation 🙂

Above are Jake’s rolls in more details. Given that he’s had the randomized ‘Recycle Disciple’ trait since childhood, I do feel that the rolls do fit Jake’s character perfectly!

We start off the week with Jake casting a vote on the neighbourhood action plans after he successfully repealed the ‘Power Conservation’ end of last rotation. That action plan was driving me crazy! He voted that the community starts fixing their own stuff up because well…that’s what he needs to be doing this generation 🙂

Sydney took a portrait of her son and it is now hung in the living room.

Speaking of Sydney, it was about time that I took a shot of her doing what she loves in the studio room that she shares with her sister.

Jake decided to install dew collectors in an effort to start turning the mansion more green. He also added solar panels on the roof.

Jake got accepted into the university of Britechester where he will be readying for a distinguished degree in Communications.

Brother Leo is still enamored by his high-school sweetheart, Meg.

Although he would never admit it out loud to anyone but his younger brother Leo, Jake had opted to do his first university term remotely because he wanted to look after his mother and aunt. They had always supported him as he grew up and now he felt he needed to support them. Although, he had to admit that having his mother’s insight from her exposure in the photography industry, did help him with his communications assignments. His aunt Ashley was also happy to share her experiences with starting and maintaining a successful blog.

Jake decided to head to the romance festival. His romance with Yuuko had fizzled out when he’d graduated high school. She was still a few years younger than him and suddenly the gap had just felt too big to overlook.

At the festival he met the lovely Bria (top left picture) and Nanami (top right picture). He enjoyed chatting with both of them and thought Nanami especially beautiful until he discovered that she was happily married and was at the festival with her husband. Also attending the festival with her husband was Stella. The eldest, Kate, was also visiting and she participated in on of the arts masterclasses that was being held during the festival.

Abandoning his wooing of Nanami after he learned that she was already spoken for, Jake decided to sit down and enjoy the company of his sister and brother-in-law but the Sakura Tea had made the two especially amorous that evening and Jake decided to head back home.

Back at home he was surprised to find his family were eating hotdogs outside by the pool.

“It’s 4am! What the heck are you doing out here?”

“Well, Leo and Ashley were still up, I couldn’t sleep and we were all quite hungry…so Ashley suggested that we do a ‘midnight barbeque’!” his mother explained.

Jake just laughed and joined them on the table as he was quite hungry himself having been out all night. It ended up being a very special morning for them all and many laughs were shared as the sun slowly climbed over the horizon.

The days rolled by, Jake focused on his studies as he was taking four courses in his 1st term. Leo on the other hand loved keeping active after school.

Jake was hanging around campus in between lectures when he met Amina Brantley. She was gorgeous and immediately caught his eye.

It seemed that he had likewise caught her eye as they spent the day chatting until Jake had to leave for his lecture.

Finally having made peace with the death of Aleki, Sydney decided to head on over to her daughter’s house and make the acquaintance of her one and only grandson, Everett. Seems that he has inherited everything Stella ^^

Sydney also loved the town that her daughter was living in. It had such a pretty and well-kept aesthetic.

The new maid doesn’t quite know how to apply her makeup…

Stella came by to visit and she brought over Everett. Sydney was delighted and spent the afternoon playing with her grandson.

It was soon time for the youngest to also reach young adulthood.

Leo grew up into a handsome man, he rolled ‘Adventurous’ as his last trait and also received the ‘Scouting Aptitude’ and ‘Responsible’ traits. That’s five kids all having reached the top of the scouting career! Probably won’t go through the trouble for this generation though because it was a bit of a nightmare to get everyone to earn their badges.

They came into the world together and they decided to leave it together. Ashley & Sydney both died on the same day – Leo’s birthday (in keeping with this generation’s always dying on special occasions). Goodbye ladies, you will both be missed!

As heiress, Sydney was cremated and put in a jar next to her mother and grandmother.

The whole family was devastated and everyone came over to comfort each other over the loss.

After his mother and aunt’s death, Leo found comfort in the arms of his beloved Meg.

In the meantime, Jake focused on his university work.

And with time wounds start to heal. Jake proposed to his longtime girlfriend Meg Isaacs when they were both in their pyjamas but she still thought it was the most romantic proposal ever.

Thought I’d include a picture of Meg in CAS, she’s quite pretty ^^

Speaking of pretty, Jake’s college professor, Diana Hadley dropped by to tutor him on a topic that he was finding difficulty with and she is stunning.

“Darling, it’s your wedding day tomorrow! I’m so excited! My boy is all grown up!”

Leo & Meg decided to celebrate their wedding by having a beautiful and intimate ceremony in the backyard. They both dressed up and exchanged their vows by the hot spring.

That’s it for the first update of generation 7! It wasn’t very heir focused because a lot of things were still happening with the other family members, but next update will make up for that. Stay safe x
